When things are meant to be, the stars align and miracles unfold. In taking the initiative towards this dream, I have attracted others who share the same vision.
We are now a TEAM...A team that shares the same philosophy. Learning begins with relationships and blossoms with creativity. We value relationships and individuality. We are professionals. We share a common passion for supporting nurturing and caring for children and seeing them reach their full potential. Together with our individual strengths and enthusiastic personalities we bring our own creative incentives to our programs.
I am blessed to have such an absolutely incredible team of staff members. The strength and personalities of the Educators at The Mulberry Bush is what initiated the success of our programs and is what sets us apart to this day.
The level of care, patience, compassion, creativity, and hard work that our staff members put into their jobs, shows the parents here each day that their children are being cared for by individuals who are truly meant to be in the field of childcare.
Please read our staff BIO's for insight into the individual experience, personalities, and values of our Team Members. Finding, screening, and training the right people to be responsible for the care of these little ones is something that I've taken very seriously. Having said that , I am incredibly proud of my staff and feel honored to be working with them each and everyday. It is an amazing feeling to walk through the center and see smiles, hear laughter, and witness incredible learning experiences that all come from the passion that goes into each one of our very important jobs.
My husband, Marc, and I have been married for over 25years. We have two strong and independent children that fill our lives with joy everyday. We worked together in cancer care for over 20 years until a family tragedy made me reconsider my career choice. I have been with the Mulberry Bush Child Care since 2008. As an Early Childhood Educator and Family Child Care Provider my goal is to provide a safe and happy environment for each child that will stimulate the physical, intellectual, multicultural, social, and emotional growth at their own pace. I offer loving care that focuses on each child as a unique and wonderful individual and in doing so, building self esteem and respect for others. As a mentor I share my experience and knowledge with providers to help them with all aspects of the childcare profession. My purpose is to improve and promote quality child care and better communication between parents and providers. My incredible staff members help me tremendously in this endeavor.
Hello! My name is Tara Heisler, I was born and raised in Halifax, N.S and quickly discovered my passion for travel and discovering the beauty of other cultures. When I finally moved to London, I worked as a gymnastics coach and a ballet teacher for 6 years and quickly found my passion in childhood education.
I continued my education outside of my work, learning and understanding basic ASL, child psychology, time management, parent communication and the importance of documentation. With my experience within childcare and the high standards I hold myself to, I decided to open a childcare center in China. Unfortunately, COVID hit and I quickly found my way back home. I saw this experience as a unique opportunity to grow and inspire others to strive to be the best they can be.
The most amazing thing to me is the bonds made within childcare, not only with the children but with the families as well. I believe that our Centre should not only be an extension of your home, but also a place where you feel safe and secure. I look forward to our adventures together!

Mulberry Bush is a big loving family that I am proud to be a part of!

Hello, my name is Jessica!
I graduated from Fanshawe College and have been a RECE since May 2021. I am experienced in working with children in all age groups from infant to preschool. I am most passionate working alongside preschoolers which I have done for the past year.
I believe all children have an opportunity of enhancing their personal strengths. My educated philosophy for working in childcare is to promote learning by allowing the children to guide their own interests. I observe common interests of play and create learning opportunities based on these experiences. I consider children to be their best leader and I learn just as much alongside them each day!
I am looking forward to creating a warm experience each day with all children throughout the Mulberry Bush centre.

inclusive and welcoming environment for all children and I am looking forward to doing that at Mulberry Bush!
My name is Lina Hage Hassan, a mother of two sons and a daughter, an English teacher, and a participant in a non-profit organization.
